INDEX

Notes

Arrived in US in November, 1869. She and andrew settled near Genoa, Nebraska While her children were still very young she suddenly disappeared and was never seen nor heard from again. Andrew spent the remainder of his life searching for her without success. Her children were distributed among other relatives in Genoa. One of her sons, the twin brother of Phyllis (Gladys) fell on a pitchfork and was killed. It is rumored that her son's death snapped Augusta's mind and she disappeared soon after. Andrew died in his forties. The question of her disappearance has never been answered. Many of the Andersons and their kin are buried in the Quaker cemetary located north and east of Genoa, NE. Lottie Donnelley (or spelled Dannelley) still lives in Genoa. She is the daughter of Ellen Anderson.
