Joined the Marine Corps on Sept 7, 1965. Commissioned 2nd Lt Dec 1965, Assigned Infantry Vietnam June 1966, wounded in action( as lead man in a unit searching out enemy snipers, on rooute 9 separating Norh and South Vietnam) 17 Aug., 1966, promoted to Capt.1 Nov, 1967, returned to active duty to become Co. Commander in the Carribean and with the 6th Fleet in the Mediterranean during the 6 day war between Isreal and Egypt. Awarded Bronze

Star w/Combat"V", National Def. Medal, VSMdl l (Vietnam) & Purple Heart. Transferred to retired list for physical disability Mar 1969.
