- Play any 1 note and then play any other 1 note.
- Now play a 1 note and then the 2 note right next to it.
- Notice that the any two 1 notes sound more alike than a 1
note and the 2 note right next to it.
- This is true for any of the 7 notes: any two 4 notes sound more alike than a 4 note and the 5 note right next to it.
- (A note and the next note in either direction with the same number are said to be an octave apart.)
